Celebrate today with me. It is the first harvest celebration called Lammas. This is a very ancient holiday from the Celtic tradition. It’s a time of blessing for what we have sown in the Spring to bring to our table and share with friends and family. The Wheel of the Year is turning once more. It also reminds us the nights are getting longer as we approach Autumn in September.
My table tonight will be full with tomatoes, squash, cucumber and mint jelly I have from my gardens and corn and potatoes from the farm across the road. The Magic of these Blue Ridge Mountains give me so many blessings. Today is about receiving blessings, giving blessings and reflection.
In these next few days what can you bring to your table? What is calling to you? What is making your mouth water? It doesn’t have to be home grown or made by your hands. You can create your own intentions to place before you. The intention is always the most important part of all we do. It is how we create our own magic and symbolic nature.
Take this time to also celebrate your inner harvest. What did you plant this year in your Soul that is coming to fruition with ripeness? I planted seeds of endurance, unconditional love and ease. As I reflect on these three areas in my life, I see where growth has occurred and conditions have been put in place for me. I have been stretched, given opportunities and abundance. I can promise you this… When you co-create with Spirit, the Universe will show up.
